Killing time with a marker...

I love to draw; it's sharing the first spot on my list together with writing. I cannot pick either one of them! Anyway, I draw everywhere I can; from home to the swimming club. I consider my starting point art age 16, where I was finally able to let go of the 'kiddy style' and grow into what I am now. My biggest influence is Elfquest and Anime/Manga, like Pokémon and Sailor Moon. Did you know Elfquest was influenced by Anime and Manga? Also, my artstyle cannot be put into a little box; it has influences from everwhere! I rather call my style 'Neder-manga'. I prefer Traditional Media over Digital Media, but I have to admit... digital goes a lot faster!

The other hobby I cannot live without. I like writing. My first real stories were movie scripts about my classmates. They never liked it, but my friends did. Then again, my classmates never liked what I did, so it was no surprise they didn’t like this either. In the 3^rd class of High School (age 15?) I started Forever Young; a story that grew eventually into my first published novel: Forever Young Eternity 1: New to this world.
Not long after I started drawing, I got internet. There I wrote my very first English story: A Pokémon Fanfiction. It was quite long, but I stopped writing after losing a 10 page story T_T.

Singing and Songwriting:

I don't do it often (except singing; I sing wherever I want and whenever I want... with exceptions of course) and I'm not the best, but it is something I love doing. I can't write melodies, but I can write lyrics. Downside... just with my art: what I consider drop-dead awesome, people consider okay. What I consider okay, they usually consider drop-dead awesome! Oh, such cruel fate...

Swimming:

My nickname Kitty Ocean and The Digital Mermaid is not randomly chosen. I don’t like sporting, but I do love swimming. I have my divers license and am a Swimming Teacher. I usually give Snorkling Classes, but sometimes other classes as well. Most kids like having me as a teacher... but they are getting worried when I laugh! MUAHAHA! Water is my passion, as well as fire. I could tell you a story about a chair and a campfire, but you’re most likely not interested in that. ^_^

Computers:

This is a subject with many ends. I like working with computers. Internet, making Sprites/ Dolls, coloring art, writing, games (I don’t game that often), websites... whatever you say!! Fun fact: during college, people rather asked me for help, than a teacher or the Help Desk. Not that I'm that great... Anyway, manuals and Kitty Ocean don't mix, so whatever I do, is self taught. Sometimes I need help by looking at other people's files; that's my manual then. That's how I taught myself to create websites; I look at source-codes!
