Episode 10: Fire and Ice, and everything nice

As Zach and Kitt looked at the lava, it surged. The magical portal was behind the flames. "Oooo!" Kitt screamed and clutched at Zach, "This is scary, I don't want to be crisped!"

Suddenly a burst of lava moved towards them. Zach and Kitt watched the lava come closer. Zach stood in front of Kitt to protect her. Suddenly the lava stopped and faded away. In front of them was a little girl with fiery red hair.

The girl giggled and said "Welcome to my lair! I'm Chibi Ignis, Guardian of Fire."

"Yeah I can see!" said Zach looking at her hair as it flowed in red and orange.

"So what do you want?" said Kitt as she looked at Chibi Ignis.

Chibi Ignis giggled again and said, "I want you guys!"

"Huh?" Zach and Kitt didn't know what she meant.

Chibi Ignis giggled again and said "I want you guys to take a test!"

"T..T..Test?" said Kitt nervously and hid behind Zach.

"Test? What kind of Test?" Zach said.

Chibi Ignis giggled, "The test to see if you are great enough to join us!"

"Join you? Listen girl, I'd like to stay, but I need to go to a Moon Tournament! So uh.... Maybe next time when I'm ready, so see ya!" Zach said and started going back the other way.

Suddenly the cave opening was shut off by rows of fire. Chibi Ignis smiled with her very blue eyes. "In order to get through, both of you will have to defeat me!" said Chibi Ignis as she held up a fireball. She threw a fireball toward Kitt.

"Nooo!" Zach pushed Kitt out of the way as the fireball landed. "Alright, take this girl!" said Zach and leaped up in the air. He grabbed the little girl and threw her to the floor. Chibi Ignis got back up and headed toward Zach. She jumped on top of him and smacked him in the head.

"ZACH!" Kitt screamed and ran towards him.

"Kitt look out!" Zach said as Chibi Ignis threw a fireball at her.

"OCEAN EXPLOSION!" Kitt said and a wave of water put the fire out.

"WHOA!" said Zach, amazed by the power that Kitt had. Zach then picked up Chibi Ignis and threw her towards Kitt, who uppercut her in the air. They both grabbed the Chibi and slammed her to the ground.

Chibi Ignis tried to get up, but she was too weak. "Heh!" smiled Zach "Looks like you are burned up!"

Chibi Ignis glared at them angrily. "You haven't defeated me yet!" She screamed and a burst of fire surrounded her.

Kitt and Zach gasped as Chibi Ignis's hair caught on fire. Her clothes change to a long black dress. Then she grew taller and taller; into a lady! Kitt hid behind Zach as the lady walked towards them. "She grew!" said Kitt.

Lady Ignis smiled evilly and said "I'm Lady Ignis, the most powerful lady of fire!" This time, Zach didn't make any jokes. Lady Ignis smiled "You have defeated me once, but this time, I have no mercy!" Lady Ignis raise her arms and the lava from below swirled. She pointed toward Zach and Kitt, directing the lava towards them.

"YIKES!" Zach screamed and picked up Kitt as they dodged the lava.

"This is just great! After many couples of days, I get followed by a boy, then two idiots who want this boy's invitation, Derak's after me, and now I'm running away from a girl who is the guardian of fire!" Kitt sighed.

"How about helping me, Kitt?" Zach said as he dodged a spit of lava.

Lady Ignis laughed "Oh this is sooo much fun!"

Finally Lady Ignis trapped them with a row of fire, surrounding them. Zach glared at her, "You may be of fire, but I'm Zach, the chosen one in the Moon Tournament!" He rushed toward her, dodging the lava spits.

"Hahaha!" Lady Ignis laughed. "Such courage boy, but you can never defeat me!" Lady Ignis gathered her strength and turned a bright red. "FINAL FIRE PHOENIX!" She screamed and a flaming firebird headed towards Zach.

"Aaaaaaah!" Zach screamed as the firebird swept down on him.

"ZACH!" Kitt screamed and watched as Zach came down, burning. "NOOOO!" Kitt screamed, but then Zach was back on his feet.

Lady Ignis gasped as Zach stood up. Zach glared at Lady Ignis furiously. "NOW I'm ANGRY!"  Zach rushed at Lady Ignis at high speed and punched her hard in the stomach. "SLASH BASH!" He said and slammed Lady Ignis into a wall. Zach, breathing hard, wiped the sweat away from his face.

Lady Ignis ignored her bruises and headed toward Zach. Zach glared at her and was ready to attack her again. But instead, Lady Ignis kissed him. Magically, Zach's cuts and bruises were all gone. Lady Ignis smiled "Congratulations, you have defeated me!" and the fire and lava disappeared. "You, Zach, are the greatest one! I have done my job here. You may proceed to my
other sisters!" said Lady Ignis and with a snap of fingers, the magical portal opened.

"WOW!" said Zach "GREAT let's go Kitt!"

"Wait a minute!" said Lady Ignis and headed towards Zach. She kissed him one more time and healed Kitt's wounds.

"Good Luck Zach!" She said and waved energetically as Kitt and Zach went through the portal into the forest. Then she looked at the sky and said "Good luck my sister!" She then faded into the cavern wall.

At that moment, two figures appeared. "WOW!" said Moka looking around. "LAVA!"

"I'm scared Moka, please be careful!" said Mika holding close to him.

"Mika, Mika, Mika! Don't worry, I know what I'm doing!" said Moka and suddenly slipped, still holding onto Mika. "WWWWHHHOAAAA!" They screamed and fell down into the lava pit. "AAAAAAH!" They yelled as the last fireball blasted them into the air.
