Girls night out

After defeating Ryu again, Zach and his team were already on their way to the NightWing Castle. Mika got a lot of attention because she chased Ryu away and really seemed to enjoy it.
"I never knew you had those powers!" Moka cheered. "How did you know you had them?"
Mika smiled. "It was just like you." She answered. "It was like Chibi Kim told to me what to do."
All stopped walking and gazed at Mika. "What's wrong?" She asked. "No! Don't tell me I stained my dress!" She inspected her pink dress.
"There is nothing wrong with your dress." Derak mumbled.
"Yeah, besides the fact that it's pink." Kitt whispered.
Zach took Mika by the shoulders. "You said it was like Chibi Kim was talking to you." Mika nodded. She had said that. "How could that?! Chibi Kim is captured by Queen BlackHeart and we have to save her!"
Mika thought deeply. "Maybe she can be mentally with us."
"Do you think it's a trick by the Ancient Warriors?" Moka asked.
"That would be stupid." Zach concluded. "Why would they make us even stronger?"
Suddenly, Mika began to scream. "What's wrong?" Moka asked.
"You guys are giving me a headache!" She yelled.
Kitt rubbed her ears. "That's no reason to make me deaf!"
"And I'm hungry as well." Mika added.
Zach smiled. "Well, because our heroine chased Ryu away, we'll rest a bit and eat something." He looked at Kitt. "Could you...?"
Kitt lay down her backpack and tried to take something from it. "It's stuck!" She said. "Help me!" Zach helped her and finally, a bag came out of it. It smelled deliciously!
Derak's mouth became all watery. "What's in there?" He asked.
"You'll see." Kitt smiled.
After half an hour, Kitt cooked something that looked like they were in a high-class restaurant! While the others sat down, a blue creature slipped at them. Mika sat down at a rock and took off one of her bracelets and rubbed her wrist. The blue creature noticed the bracelet and came closer. Suddenly, he took it and ran away! Mika saw what happened and jumped up. "My bracelet!" She screamed. "That thing took my bracelet!" She started chasing it. "Come back here!"
"Mika!" Moka yelled.
"I'll get her back." Kitt offered and followed Mika. "Mika!"
In the mean while, the boys looked hungry at the food. "Dare I?" Derak asked the others. He wanted to dive on top of it, but Zach stopped him.
"They'll be right back!" He replied. But then he saw the food, smelling like it was heaven. "We'll wait 10 minutes, and then we'll start!"
"Come back here!" Mika screamed. She almost had it, but when she grabbed its tail, it slipped right through her hand! "Ewh!" She looked at her hand. "It's all slimy!" But then she started chasing it again.
Kitt tried to keep up with Mika and the blue creature, which looked like an otter. 'A water creature,' she thought, 'and it only wants to play.' Then she saw how far they were getting away from the boys. "Mika! Don't go too far!"
Suddenly, the creature jumped in a nearby river. Mika screamed at it. "I can't swim!" She cried.
"But I can!" Kitt dove after the creature. When the creature saw her, he dropped the bracelet. Kitt took it and swam to the surface again.
"When we get home." Kitt growled. "You are going to take some swimming-lessons!"
Mika hugged Kitt. "Oh Kitty, thank you! Ewh, you are all wet!"
Kitt slapped herself for the head. "Really?" She asked sarcastically. "I didn’t notice." She gave Mika the bracelet. "Why is this bracelet so important to you?"
Mika shove it back on her wrist. "Without it, I can't do my Gem Shatter and Pretty Puff."
"Have you ever tried it without?" Kitt wanted to know and tried to get her hair dry.
"Ehm... no."
Kitt took off her jacket and started to get the water out of it. "I always thought I couldn't call upon my trident without my necklace, but I found out one day I could."
"Oh...." Mika looked around. "Ehm... do you know where we are?"
Kitt looked around. "We must have crossed the woods without knowing where to go."
"That means?"
"We are lost."
Mika became pale.
On the other side of the woods, the boys had finished their dinner. There were only 2 plates left, and the boys looked at them hungrily.
"We can't eat them." Zach mumbled. "They are for the girls."
Derak looked at them too, water dripping from his mouth. "We can't eat it, we can't eat it." He said to himself.
Moka looked around. "I wonder when they get back. It must have been already an hour since they left.
Zach shook up. "You think they got lost?"
Derak jumped up. "Oh no! My poor Kitty, in those horrible woods with horrible creatures! She's in danger!"
"When something will attack them, THEY will be in trouble!" Moka remembered Mika's new attacks. "I think we should go and look for them."
Zach sat down. "I don't think so."
Derak grabbed Zach. "What?! And leaving my precious Kitty behind?!"
"I never said that!" Zach growled. "I mean, if we leave and look for them, we might miss them while they are looking for us. Besides, it's getting dark. We’d better take a rest, cause that's what they'll be doing."
"But..." Moka and Derak protested.
"We'll go and look for them tomorrow."
Mika strolled. "I'm hungry." She complained. "I want food."
"I'm hungry too, but you don't hear me complaining about it." Kitt snapped back. "The boys have probably left some food for us."
Mika thought. "Don't count on it, when Moka sees food, he eats it!"
"Well, I can't find anything in this forest, so we'll have to skip dinner. Won't harm us."
Mika dug in her pockets. "All I have is this candy bar." She unwrapped it. "Well, better than nothing." She ate it.
Kitt gazed at Mika. "You ate it?!" She asked astounded.
"Oh, you wanted some as well?" Mika asked.
"You never offered!" Kitt snapped back.
Mika suddenly started to laugh. "I was just teasing you. Here, I have another one. But that's all I have, believe me."
Kitt smiled softly and ate the candy bar. She didn't want to think how long it had been in her pockets. It was food, and she was hungry. Kitt looked up. "It's getting dark, we'd better find a place to spend the night."
"Without my sleeping bag?!" Mika screamed.
"We have no choice. Let's find an empty cave or something like that." They looked around and after a few minutes they had found an empty cave.
Mika started a little fire. "It's cold here." She whined. "I'll get sick, I'm positive about that!"
Kitt lay down, but Mika kept on whining. She took off her jacket. "Here, and now stop complaining!"
"But then you'll be cold!" Mika noticed.
"I never get cold!" Kitt snapped back and lay down on the cold floor again. Mika saw her shivering.
Mika smiled. She was someone who liked to complain and she knew that. "Kitt...." She started.
"What?" Kitt growled.
"Don't take it the wrong way, but you are the best friend I had in ages." Mika lay down. "Goodnight."
Kitt was surprised. "Yeah, same to you." She softly said back. 'It's one weird world around here,' she thought, 'everything is twisted upside-down. Old enemies turn into best friends. Maybe, this was the intention of the Chibi's.' Kitt closed her eyes.
Mika crawled back up. She raised one of her hands. "Healing Heart." She whispered. "Let my friendship keep you warm." And she started to sleep again.
The next day, the boys stood up early. "And, now we are going to look for them, right?!" Derak and Moka exclaimed at the same time.
"Yes." Zach sighed. "Now are we going to look for them."
In the cave, Kitt woke up. "Well." She whispered. "It wasn't so cold in the cave after all." She turned to Mika. "Mika, get up. We must find the boys."
"Only one more minute." She mumbled.
Kitt smiled. "Okay. 60, 59, 58, 57...."
Mika stood up. "Okay, I get the point, you can stop counting." She grumbled.
Kitt took her jacket back on and walked out of the cave. "Well, looks like a beautiful morning to me! Come on Mika." Mika followed Kitt, yawning.
"Kitt?" Zach yelled. "Mika!"
Derak and Moka did the same thing, only Derak was focused on yelling 'Kitt' and Moka only yelled 'Mika'.
After a while, they reached a cliff. "Could they have fallen from here?" Moka asked.
"They are not that stupid." Derak concluded.
"No!" They suddenly heard. "But you are!"
When they turned back, they saw Ryu, in his grown form. "Ryu!" Zach growled.
"Indeed little boy, and this time I'm going to win!" Ryu laughed. "Dragon Doom!" The attack was launched and hit the guys. They rolled to the edge of the cliff, but they managed not to fall. "Separated, you are nothing, worthless!"
"And now you are too late!" Ryu snapped back, seeing Kitt and Mika.
"Let me handle this!" Mika jumped in front of Kitt. "Charm Chaos!"
This time, Ryu was prepared, and he managed to stop the attack with his Dark Dragon- attack.
"It's not working any more!" Moka cried.
"Of course!" Ryu laughed. "This time, I'm prepared for any attack, how strong it may be! You have all discovered your true powers, so there no surprises left!"
"Don't be so sure about that!" Kitt called upon her trident.
Ryu laughed again. "What are you going to do? Trident Power Wave? Ocean Explosion? Wave Crasher? I've studied."
"Just wait!" Kitt growled.
"Dragon Doom!" Ryu yelled.
Kitt pinned her trident in the ground. "Aqua Dragon Love!" She yelled and released blue energy, shaped like a water dragon. It burst right through Ryu's Dragon Doom. Ryu blasted away, and headed straight for Zach!
Kitt, who had been hit by her own attack, saw what happened. "Zach!" She yelled, but Ryu bumped against Zach and Zach lost his balance. He started to fall down the cliff, while Ryu had already fallen down with an awesome scream. Before it was too late, Kitt managed to grab Zach.
"Welcome back Kitt." Zach smiled. Kitt pulled him back up. "You just had to get even right? Just like I blasted you away back when I fought about you with Derak."
"Yeah, those were the good old days." Derak sighed happily. "But what just happened?"
Kitt sighed. "Well, that is one of my attacks that I don't master yet. Each time I use it, I get blasted myself. And being very hungry doesn't make it any better. Still have to practice."
"Talking about food...." Moka started and dug in his backpack. "We saved this for you."
"Food!" Mika screamed and dove on top of it.
Kitt took the plate with food. "Thanks. It doesn't matter that it's cold, I can eat anything!"
While Kitt and Mika enjoyed their first food that day, the boys gathered around. "You saw that attack from Kitt?" Moka asked. "Even though Ryu was prepared, it had still hurt him."
"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Derak wanted to know.
Zach nodded. "But she won't like it."
Kitt had emptied her plate. "Man, I'm a better cook than I thought!" She sighed and looked at the boys. "Ehm, what's going on?" She asked, when she saw the boys heading right for her. She stepped back. "Is this one of those mean spells?"
The boys shook their heads. "We have a plan to defeat Ryu." Moka smiled.
"And you play the lead role." Derak added.
"What... what do you mean?" Kitt tried to hide behind Mika.
"Oh, I see!" Mika exclaimed happily. "All you have to do is fight against Ryu and we'll use our powers when you have distracted him."
"Me?!" Kitt yelled. "Fighting Ryu?" The boys and Mika nodded. "Alone?" Again the nodding. "Without any help...?" Kitt turned around and ran away. "No way!" Zach tackled her and tried to drag her back, but Kitt grabbed a tree. "I don't wanna! I don't wanna!" She cried.
"Come on!" Zach answered. "You only have to blast him one more time."
"But I'll hurt myself!"
In the mean while, a hand reached the top of the cliff. "Okay!" Ryu growled. "I've really had it with you guys!" He spit out a leaf.
The others saw him. "Ehm..." Mika pointed. "There are some leaves in your hair."
Ryu stood right in front of them. "Now... I'm REALLY angry!"
Zach pushed Kitt into the front. "Go ahead!" He ordered. "Give him your best shot!"
"So we meet again." Ryu mumbled.
Terrified, Kitt gazed at the Lord of the Dragons...."Mommy...." She peeped.
