7:00 a.m.
He turned around again. Still asleep, Moka dreamed about fighting in the Moon Tournament, and of course, he dreamed about being in the Full Moon Finals too. This was his biggest dream and he was about to win, when suddenly: "Moka! Wake up Moka!"
He opened his eye a little bit, seeing a cheerful girl with soft orange hair. Mika jumped up and down. "Moka!" She screamed again. "We have to get up! You promised to take me out today!"
Moka looked again at her... and pulled a pillow over his head. "Mika." He growled sleepy. "It's 7 a.m.. The shops won't open till 9!" He turned around, but Mika walked to the other side of the bed.
"But I don't want to get late!" She moaned.
"You won't get late!" Moka pulled the sheets over his head too. "Leave me alone! Go do something, watch tv or something like that."
Mika strolled out of the room. "I'll eat some ice-cream, but I won't like it!"
"We don't have any ice-cream left...."
"Don't worry, I'll make it myself!" Mika jumped out of the room, into the kitchen.
Moka sighed. Finally, some peace! He curled a bit until he had find the right spot. Good, Mika would do something and he could sleep. Moka sighed again, when he suddenly realised what was going on! Mika was in the kitchen... ALONE!!!
8:30 a.m.
After cleaning up the mess Mika had made, Moka sat down on the kitchen chair. He saw Mika eating her home-made ice-cream...which was only a cup full!
"Well, that was good, but let's go now." Mika decided. "We have a lot of things to do today, shopping, go to the park, shopping, go to the zoo, shopping and going to a high class restaurant."
Moka gasped, he knew who had to pay for this! "Are you sure you had everything?" He asked sarcastically.
Mika thought for a short moment. The she slapped herself for the head. "Oo! I forgot! After dinner, we have to go to the supermarket!"
Moka looked up. "What do we have to buy there?"
"Ice-cream! I want strawberry!" She jumped up and looked in the mirror if her hair and make-up was still good. Then she ran back, and snatched Moka from his cup of coffee away.
9:30 a.m.
"Let's go this way!" Mika pulled Moka in a small street. "Ooh! Just look at those cute shops!" She ran into a store with stuffed animals. "This is awesome." She squealed. "I want this cute bunny, and this teddy-bear is cute too! I want this one, and this one and this one and this one...." She turned around. "Ee! Barbies! I want that too! I like this one, and this one... ewh, just look at those clothes. But this one is cool, and this one and this one and this one..."
Then she turned around again, not seeing Moka any more. "Moka?" She asked. "Where are you?" There was no response. "Typically a boy, he probably is in the corner with action figures." She dashed off, not seeing Moka buried under a pile of cute stuffed animals.
12:00 a.m.
Trying to recover from his injuries, Moka sat on a small bench. He whined like a baby about his acing muscles. Beside him was a large pile of bags. "Mika..." He tried to say. "Do you really want to shop more?" Mika looked up from examining a piece of pink fabric.
"Well." She thought. "We could skip the shopping before the zoo and after dinner."
"How about skipping those 2 too?" Moka growled.
Mika giggled. "You are so funny! Come on, I heard there are baby tigers in the zoo." She wanted to pull him along.
Moka held on to the bench. "Hey, what about all our stuff?"
Mika thought again. "Ooh... that's right." Moka sighed relieved. His friend finally got some brains. "Just take them home, I'll see you in the zoo!" Then she ran away, leaving Moka astonished behind.
1:15 p.m.
Moka finally reached the zoo. After he bought a ticket, he saw people running around. "Excuse me sir." He asked a man. "What's wrong? Is there something I can do?"
"No time, sorry." The man quickly looked around. "Some idiot opened the cage of the tigers and one has managed to escape!"
"Mika!" Moka yelled, searching for his best friend. He ran through the zoo, calling her names several times. He crossed the petting zoo, where he thought he would find Mika. But she wasn't there.
He looked for her by the monkeys, but she wasn't there. Desperate, he tried another way. But she wasn't there either.
Suddenly, he heard a bright familiar voice behind him. "Hi Moka!"
Moka turned around, seeing Mika, holding something furry. He pointed at it, scary. "M... Mika... that... that's...."
"Oh, you mean this sweet little kitten?" She smiled and hugged it once more. "I found it behind a cage, and I thought it was so lonely. Can I keep him??"
"Mika, that's a tiger's cub!"
"Really?" Mika wondered and looked at it. "But where is it's mommy?"
"Behind you!"
"Oo! How sweet!"
Moka pulled the cub out of Mika's hands and put it at the ground. "Now, let's go!" He pulled Mika along. He was so embarrassed. They went along the tiger's cage.
"You think I should have closed the cage after I took the cub?" Mika asked Moka.
4:34 p.m.
"Let go!" Mika screamed and pulled at the pink sweatshirt.
"You let go!" Another girl screamed.
"I saw it first!"
"But it looks better on me!"
"Your hair is out of style!"
"Your shoes don't match your dress!"
Moka sat on a chair, watching the dangerous sport called shopping. Suddenly, he heard Mika calling his name.
"Tony!" The other girl yelled.
Another boy ran at her. "What's wrong Tina?"
Tina pointed at Mika. "I saw this sweatshirt first, but that witch claims it's hers!"
"Hey!" Moka said. "Mika is no witch!"
"Don't talk like that to my girlfriend!" Tony exclaimed.
"Your girlfriend should get some brains!"
"Yours should get a complete make-over!"
"That's it!" Moka jumped on Tony and both started fighting.
Mika and Tina observed them. "Boys." Mika sighed.
"So true." Tina added. "Hey look, ice-cream!"
"Ice-cream?" Mika cheered. "I want one too! I want strawberry!"
"Oo! Me too, wait for me!"
7:00 p.m.
In the restaurant, Mika babbled about her new friend Tina. "And even though her hair is out of style, her taste of fashion is just like mine!"
Moka held a piece of ice on his cheek. "Couldn't you become friends before Tony and I started defending you?"
"Boys always want to fight. We girls are much more mature." She asked the waiter to come. "I would like dish number 34 with mineral water and he'll take the children's plate number 7. Oh yeah, and give him some milk too."
Moka dropped his ice of surprise. "Mika!" He demanded. "Why do you get such an expensive dish while I have to settle with a cheap plate of fries?"
"Or else we can't pay it." Mika replied. "You don't mind, do you?"
Moka grumbled, but didn't continue. He just wanted Mika to be happy, he hated to see her sad.
8:46 p.m.
Moka opened the door and he walked in. He sat down on the couch and put on the television. Mika sat down next to him.
"That ice-cream was great, didn't you agree?" She sighed, leaning against him.
Moka nodded. Mika noticed Moka was a bit grumpy. She dug in her pockets. "Here." She softly said, this is for you."
Moka opened the small present. Inside was a beautiful watch. "But... Mika?" He asked, but couldn't say more.
"It belonged to my father and I want you to have it." She pointed at the bottom. "Turn it around."
Moka turned it around and saw that something was carved in it. It said: 'Friends Forever'. He wanted to say anything, but he could only squeeze out 2 words: "Thank you..."
Mika hugged him. "I'm sorry, I know I sometimes can be a pain in the butt." She lay against him.
"You are not...." Moka smiled and watched at the television."
"In that case...." Mika started. "Could you go out and get me some strawberry ice-cream?"
The end.
