"C'mon, Lady Aqua." Kitt begged. "Just one little question."
Lady Aqua sighed and closed her eyes. Kitt smiled and Zach shook his head. "All right." Lady Aqua answered. "You've been here for 3 days so far and you can't stop asking. What do you want to know this time?"
Kitt folded her arms. "How old are you and your sisters?"
Zach looked at Kitt. Didn't she had any manners? Never ask a lady her age! "Kitt!" Zach corrected her.
Lady Aqua giggled. "Don't worry Zach. Even if I knew the answer, I wasn't allowed to give it. Sorry Kitt, that was unanswered question number 435."
"Shoot...." Kitt cursed. Zach laughed.
"Now, if you'd excuse me." Lady Aqua said. "I have to go."
Lady Aqua left the room and Kitt made sure she was gone. Suddenly, she grabbed Zach and pulled him along.
"Kitt?" He asked. "Where are we going?"
"To the place with all the answers." Kitt mumbled.
"What? But if the Ladies don't have the answer, who will?"
Kitt opened the door to a room without windows and lights. It looked like a cave. Zach gazed at it, but Kitt walked determent inside.
"Kitt." Zach whispered. "This place is forbidden!" He saw a huge mirror floating through the air. "The mirror of Eternity...."
"Indeed." Kitt smiled. "It shows the past, the present and the future. It holds all the answers!"
Zach grabbed her arms. "And it's totally forbidden! Kitt, we've got to go."
"Not before I get my answer."
"Kitt, listen! If we ask something from the future, we'll change it!"
Kitt laughed. "I'm not asking something from the future, but from the past. Mirror of Eternity, show me origin of the Guardians!"
The mirror obeyed and showed a planet. It was dark and Zach asked himself where it could be.
On the dark planet, called Umbra 6, a woman, dressed in black feathers, walked inside. The doors slammed against the wall and she walked at a throne. She bowed before it. "My king, I have found it."
"Really?" The king asked with a dark voice. "Show me."
The woman snapped her fingers and a servant walked at her with a golden plate. The woman took it and showed it to the man. On the plate was a small crystal, shining in the colours red, green, blue, white and purple.
"I found it for you, my king." She repeated. "Here is the heart of the universe. It's all yours."
She bowed and let the king take the little gem from the plate. "I can feel it's power. Lady Blackheart, arise." Lady Blackheart stood up. "You have served me well. You have the honour, to become my queen."
"Yes, King Shadow. And I will serve you even more now." She looked at the crystal. "Now, my king, what are you going to do with it?"
King Shadow laughed and lifted the crystal magically. "It's all mine! And now I'll destroy it!" Laughing, he blasted the heart of the universe into pieces. Pieces were shattered throughout the Black Palace. "No one can protect the universe any more. It's all mine!"
King Shadow blasted the 5 pieces out of his window. With high speed the crystals shot through the universe, going to an unknown place.
A school bell rang. Shelly Stellamare, a young girl walked outside. Finally, Serenay Moon Interplanetary High was over! Summer vacation had arrived!
Shelly ran home and slammed the door open. "Mom!" She yelled. "It's vacation!"
"I know sweet heart." Her mother looked at the girl with aqua coloured hair and the joyful green eyes. "We'll leave tonight to camp."
"Is it near the ocean?" She asked eagerly.
Her mother smiled. "Yes honey, your father tried to get as close to the sea as possible. Go get your bags."
"Yes mom!" Shelly yelled and ran upstairs.
The next day, Shelly arrived with her family at the camping spot. Happily, she jumped out and ran up the hill. Her father joined her. "Close enough Shelly?" He asked.
Shelly saw the ocean. "Dad, it's perfect!" She looked again.
Suddenly, Shelly thought to see 5 shooting stars. 'During the day?', she thought, but they were already gone. Shelly decided to let it be and went inside the house.
However, that night, she thought about it again. She looked outside her window and gazed at the beach. Even at night the ocean was beautiful.
All of a sudden, Shelly saw something sparkling. 'What's that?', she thought and crawled out of her bed. There it was again! A soft sparkle, on the beach! What could it be?
Shelly ran out of her room and the cabin. The cold sand got stuck between her feet, but she didn't care.
When she finally reached the beach and the sparkle, she saw what it was. It was a small blue gem, that stopped sparkling when Shelly touched it. Shelly took it.
"How pretty." She whispered. "Where is it from?"
Suddenly, the gem began to shine again and blinded Shelly.
When Shelly could see again, she saw she was in a cave. She also noticed 4 other girls. One was wearing a school uniform and had white hair and aqua eyes.
"Where am I?" She asked the girl with read hair and blue eyes.
"How should I know?" She replied. "I just got here. Who are you?"
"I'm Shelly, who are you?"
"The name is Ember. Hey green head, who are you?" The red haired girl asked to the girl with green hair and purple eyes.
"I'm Rose." She answered. "How did we get here?"
A girl with purple hair and red eyes opened her hand. "I think this crystal brought me here. Do you also have one?"
The other girls showed their crystals. Again, they began to shine and suddenly they floated to their hearts. Without able to do anything, the crystals melted into their bodies.
"Get it out of me!" Shelly yelled.
"Relax kid, it probably has a meaning." Ember said.
"Why are you so grumpy?" The white haired girl asked. "I don't think this is normal."
"Who's asking you?" Ember wanted to know. "Who are you anyway?"
"I'm Sky!" Sky said. "And I demand to know what is going on!"
"Can't you feel it?" The purple haired girl replied. "That crystal is telling me something."
"Mine too!" Shelly noticed. "Like their is a little voice in my head."
"Confusing...." Ember sighed. "Heart of the Universe, King Shadow, NightWing. I'm not at school! I have vacation! Get out of me!" Ember grabbed her head. "I don't want to know these things about you."
"You know why we are chosen Ember." The purple haired girl laid a hand on her shoulder. "We have a task."
"Don't mess with me Nova!" Ember yelled. "I don't want to be chosen, I don't want to be the one where the universe depends on!"
"I can help you." The girls looked up and saw a man who gracefully stepped on the floor.
"Well, if it isn't King Shadow himself." Ember grumbled. "I don't want this crystal within me, but you'll never get it!"
"Poor crystal." King Shadow shook his head. "You think this will save you? Bonding with 5 talented girls doesn't make a difference. I'll always win."
"Not this time." Sky answered. "The crystal has told us everything, even how to release our hidden powers. The heart of the universe chose me to be the guardian of air and I take my role seriously."
"I'm so afraid." King Shadow laughed. "Crystal, you travelled 10 years to get help from these kids? I was a bit worried when I heard the news about your journey, but now I see that was all wasted effort." He raised his arm. "The NightWing will once rule the universe and nothing will stop me. Black Moon!" A black ball of energy got blasted at the fresh guardians.
All dove away and the ball hit the cave. The cave almost collapsed.
"We've got to do something!" Nova yelled. "Or else he wins!"
King Shadow laughed and released some more Black Moon attacks.
"But how?" Shelly shouted back. "I can only run away very fast!"
"Trust on your crystal." Nova replied. She stood up. "Hey King Shadow, how about this!" Nova held her hand above her. "Nova Revolution! Birth of the Spirit!" Nova got surrounded by stars and changed into the Guardian of the spirit: Lady Kim.
Sky jumped up. "We'll show you! Sky Revolution! Wings of Air!" Sky began to grew and changed into the ultimate Guardian of Air: Lady Luna. "Now you'll see not to mess with us. I hate violence, but this is the only way. Join us, Crystal-Sisters!"
"Rose Revolution! Light of the Earth!"
"Shelly Revolution! Reflection of Water!"
Lady Gaia and Lady Aqua joined the others. Ember stayed behind her rock.
King Shadow laughed. "I'm so impressed." He added sarcastically. "Even in your guardian forms, you'll never be able to defeat me! Black Death Star!"
King Shadow blasted the 4 guardians against the walls. Ember looked at them. 'They can never win,' she thought, 'we'll die!'
"5 little kiddies were mend to fight me." King Shadow said. "But I'll defeat them and then I'll blast the crystal in even smaller pieces. I always get what I want, I always win!"
"Oh yeah?" Ember yelled. "But you never thought against me!" Ember jumped on a rock. "Ember Revolution! Rings of Fire!" Fire surrounded Ember and she changed into a Lady with a black dress. "Lady Ignis decided to join the party." She smiled. With her powers, she healed her crystal-sisters. "Soul-sisters, arise. Let's show the NightWing our true power!" Lady Ignis pointed at King Shadow. "Neo Crystal Revolution!" She yelled and a ball of fire blasted towards the dark King.
The other guardians repeated Lady Ignis and all released their most powerful attack.
"Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo!" King Shadow yelled and the blinding light defeated him. The king of the NightWing was gone....
Instead of being happy, the 5 guardians collapsed against the floor.
"That was heavy...." Lady Ignis breathed heavily.
"What's happening to me?" Lady Gaia shouted frightened.
Lady Kim looked up. "Our human souls! It was to much for them. They... they are dying!"
"But I don't want to die!" Lady Aqua cried. "I want to go back to school, go to the prom!"
Suddenly, a little light shot out of their bodies and blasted into pieces. All knew what happened. Their human soul had died....
"I'm dead?" Lady Luna asked with a trembling voice.
Lady Kim whipped away a little tear from her eye. "Yes, the girl I was just a day ago had died. But hey, we still have our memories. Only, now we are guardians. We are the ones who have to protect the universe."
"Some deal we made." Lady Ignis folded her arms. "So, what about it? Is the NightWing gone?"
On a place, far away from here, a servant brought the news to Queen Blackheart. Angry, she threw a glass into pieces. "No!" She yelled. "They couldn't have won!"
She sat down angry. "Mommy?" She heard.
"Vena, darling." She took the little girl into her arms. "My sweet daughter. Don't worry. We'll get our revenge. Even if that means I'll have to wait a hundred years before I'm strong enough to fight. And I'll beat them, even if they have their own soldiers. I will win!" She laughed loudly and the palace began to tremble.
